Friends of the Fuller Creek Watershed

by Roger Warner

The Friends of Fuller Creek Watershed have been brought together by the logging activities of the R and J Lumber Company. It is our purpose to monitor, protect, and encourage the improvement of the watershed, both for ourselves and nature.

The Fuller Creek watershed is recovering from having been ravaged and devastated by logging activities in the 1950's and 1960's. It is our hope that we might work together with the timber companies, such that the lands they own can produce timber without harm to the watershed, and that the watershed might be improved in the process.

We believe that a fair and responsible approach is appropriate at this time, but want to make it clear that we will not hesitate to seek legal recourse and other measures if the lands of the watershed are dealt with in a reckless and irresponsible manner.

There are those who would accuse us of being pro-industry. On the contrary, we are pro-watershed, and would like to see the responsible management of these privately owned lands, without repeated lawsuits to do it..
