The MEC, Now There Are Two!
When it comes to peace and environmental issues the M.E.C., with centers in Ukiah and in Fort Bragg, continues to be "Action Central" for our county. Very many of the environmental and social justice groups - including ocean sanctuary, toxics and pesticides, peace, Central America, recycling, air quality, forestry etc. - work with and rely on the M.E.C. for support services, information sharing, networking and coordination of efforts. A growing number of teachers, students, and concerned individuals come to the M.E.C. to utilize our extensive library of information.
Like all non-profit organizations, we need your member ship and your financial help. While membership is on a sliding scale, we recommend $20 or more for those who can afford it.
We also need your time. If you have an hour or two to share with us, please come by either center.
