Willits Environmental Center Update
The Willits Environmental Center has moved into its new location. The new spacious center is located at 316 S. Main St. across from the Willits Post Office. The center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
It is the vision of the Center's staff to have information for the public on local and global environmental issues. We hope to have an extensive library as well as videos and tapes for public access. We at the Center feel that the facility has excellent potential for community outreach. Evening activities such as music, poetry reading, video nights, teen nights, environmental/cultural events and educational seminars have been suggested.
We are working on the "new home" hoping to prepare a pleasant inviting atmosphere for the entire community. Please feel free to come in, browse through the literature, have a cup of tea or coffee or just chat. Help us make the Center your Center with suggestions and/or donations. (Donations of indoor and outdoor plants, as well as appropriate furnishings will be most appreciated.) Check our "wish list" and add to it.
