EF! Speakers Series Presents Ward Churchill
The Ecotopia Earth First! Speakers Series is proud to present Ward Churchill in a speaking engagement in Willits at the Brookside School on Sunday, December 5th at 4:00 PM. The talk is open to the public on a sliding scale of $5 - $10 per person. Churchill is co-author of the book Agents of Repression. The book details the FBI's Counter Intelligence Program (COINTELPRO) operations carried out against the Black Panthers, the American Indian Movement, and other social change movements in the United States.
The information Churchill has to present should be of particular interest to activists in the environmental, peace and social justice movements of today. Although Congress in the 1970s ordered the FBI to cease COINTELPRO operations, it would seem that the only part of COINTELPRO the FBI doesn't use today is the name. The information Churchill can impart may provide activists with valuable insights into the kinds of infiltration, disruption and harassment their organizations may be facing. Activists can also hope to gain some insights about how to protect themselves and their organizations from COINTELPRO-type tactics. Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear and speak with a COINTELPRO expert.
