Local Micro-radio

By Nemo

This (K)BUD's for you. That's the message of a new low-power radio station broadcasting out of Redwood Valley at 88.3 on the FM dial. With 15 watts of output power, KBUD covers all of Redwood Valley, the higher elevations of neighboring valleys and the 101 corridor from half way to Willits southward to halfway to Ukiah.

You can hear a lot of music on KBUD plus tapes by knowledgeable speakers on a number of environmental, social and political issues. Broadcasters are free to present whatever issues they want in whatever form they want and, as the station is not burdened with a license from the FCC, they are not burdened with rules concerning balance, disclaimers, language and the like.

So tune in to 88.3 for a refreshing experience in radio. Plans are to increase the power in the fairly near future, so if you can't get it now, check your dial from time to time and try to bring it in when the signal gets stronger.
