Youth for the Environment

by Amber Trotter

This newly formed organization is a way for teens to get involved in environmental issues and to meet and share ideas with each other.

Our current project is stream restoration and we recently planted Willow, Ponderosa Pine, Doug Fir and Big Leaf Maple along the Russian River in Redwood Valley. It was great to get out in the beautiful spring weather!

We will be participating in the Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project's Earth Day celebration on April 25th.

For more information call Amber at the MEC; 468-1660.
