Lincoln-Peters Defense Alliance

The manslaughter charge against Bear Lincoln was referred to the State Attorney General's office by previous Mendocino County District Attorney Susan Massini, shortly after her defeated bid for re-election in November, 1998. On January 15, Deputy Attorney General Michael O'Reiley appeared in court in Ukiah, and requested that the case be held over so that he could further review the file. The next hearing is scheduled for April 23 at 1:00 p.m. in Ukiah. Petitions to Attorney General Bill Lockyer have been signed asking that the case be dismissed. A delegation from LPDA is planning to meet with Attorney General Lockyer prior to the next hearing.
