The Staff and Board of Directors of the Mendocino Environmental Center continue to give unequivocal support for the Redwood Summer Justice Project. We respect the relentless energy and time involved in bringing the FBI and Oakland Police to justice, and demanding that they answer the charges of failure to conduct a legitimate investigation in the 1990 bombing of Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney and deliberately using the bombing as an excuse to conduct a disinformation campaign to destroy Earth First! As the April 15 court date approaches, it appears that COINTELPRO tactics are again being used in an attempt to divide the environmental community. The MEC will not participate in this division and seeks to build a coalition of all environmental organizations in our region to achieve our common goals of a sustainable, bio-diverse environment. We encourage the RSJP to continue with Judi's work and bring some final closure to this nine-year battle. Justice for Judi Bari!
