Volunteers Wanted
Have you ever wanted to do something more for the environment? Well here's your chance! The MEC is looking for volunteers to help with ongoing projects and to start new ones. We need reliable people of all ages with a diversity of skills and interests. Some tasks can be done on a drop-in basis, with no long term commitment. These include: helping with mailings, postering, janitorial, environmental writers, phoning, help with events, recycling, photographers, newsletter distribution. Other volunteer jobs are ongoing and involve more commitment (six months or more would be nice): window displays, e-mail management, librarians, archivists, bulk mailings coordinator, canvassing, tabling, newsletter graphics editor, newsletter distribution coordinator, petitions management, volunteer coordination assistant. The list goes on, but if you can do it, we probably need it done! We're open from 12:00-6:00, Monday through Friday, so please stop by: 106 West Standley, across from the courthouse, or phone us at 468-1660 (or leave a message any time).
