MEC Board Election Results

Ballots for the MEC Board of Directors election were counted on December 8, 2000. Unlike in the national election, the Supreme Court didn't interfere and the people's votes were accurately counted. Newly elected to the Board are Alicia Littletree and Kristin Frith. Lang Russel and Vicki Oldham were re-elected as Board members. Jenny Burnstad, who has been an incredibly active Board member, has resigned. She will continue to work for the MEC as our accountant. The new MEC Board has approved the appointment of Ed Nieves to take Jenny's seat.

We want to thank Mary McClanahan-Calvert and Chris Bennett for all the work they have done for the MEC during their two years of service as Board members. Mary and Chris are not leaving us but will take on other volunteer positions. We are excited about the new energy and insight that Kristin, Ed and Alicia will bring.
