The 10th Annual Great Russian River Cleanup and Float is sponsored by Russian River Unlimited, which acquired non-profit status in 2000, and recently expanded its Board of Directors from five to nine members. Each director heads a committee to oversee different aspects of the cleanup and community outreach.
The committees are: land operations, water operations, equipment, financial, fundraising, grant writing, public relations, volunteer coordination, cleanup support and education. They are seeking the public's help again this year.
If you are interested in joining one or more of these committees, or want more information about the cleanups, please e-mail russianriverunlimited@hotmail.com or call 462-4649.
