Am I Already A Member?

The Mendocino Environmental Center is a membership organization. In return for annual dues, a member becomes entitled to vote in the election of directors, proposed changes in bylaws, and the disposition of any major asset (e.g., radio station license).

The board of directors determines the annual dues. The current requirement is $35.00 or five hours of volunteer service during the year immediately preceding an election. Since there was no election last year, the board and elections committee have agreed by consensus that anyone eligible to vote in that election will be eligible to vote in this year’s election. Therefore, anyone who has paid annual dues or volunteered five hours since April 1, 2005, is eligible to vote. The Center is trying its best to re-establish the voting rolls within these guidelines. If you believe you already meet the membership criteria, please contact the Center so that we can verify your eligibility to vote.

Otherwise, please use the enclosed form to renew your membership. Those wishing to pay their dues with volunteer work should contact the Center immediately. The last day for establishing membership, and eligibility to vote in this election, is March 22, 2007.
