Foster Parent Training at Tapestry Family Services

Entitled Foster Care 101, this 1 hour session explores the experiences of the foster care system through the eyes of a child. This training explains the different roles, responsibilities, and time frames of the court, county, other private agencies, and/or individuals that frequently become involved when a child enters the foster care process. Tapestry Family Services is a full –service foster family agency established to serve children with varying levels of need. Community and school gardens through Mendocino County
Saturday, March 20th is the first day of Spring, and community and school gardens throughout Mendocino county will be hosting work-parties to launch them into the most productive Spring and Summer seasons ever. Volunteers are needed for many fun and interesting projects. Families and groups are welcome. To get involved and find a garden near you, go to www.gardensproject.org. Spring Equinox Dance Party with Music by Tommy Brown and the Sm

Celebrate the spring equinox with the Mendocino Art Center dancing to the soul, rock, R&B and funk sounds of Tommy Brown and the Smokin' Mirrors. No host beer and wine. Tickets are $10 - $20 (sliding scale) and are available in advance, by calling 707-937-5818, and will also be available at the door. Doors open at 7 pm.
