Sat Mar 20th - 09:30 AM Community and school gardens through Mendocino County Saturday, March 20th is the first day of Spring, and community and school gardens throughout Mendocino county will be hosting work-parties to launch them into the most productive Spring and Summer seasons ever. Spring Equinox Dance Party with Music by Tommy Brown and the Sm Sat Mar 20th - 08:00 PM Caspar Community Center, 15051 Caspar Road, Caspar Celebrate the spring equinox with the Mendocino Art Center dancing to the soul, rock, R&B and funk sounds of Tommy Brown and the Smokin' Mirrors. Tapestry Family Services Hosts Foster Parent Training Wed Mar 24th - 06:00 PM 290 E. Gobbi St., Ukiah Tapestry Family Services will host a training session for foster parents on Wednesday, March 24th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Tapestry Conference Room, 290 East Gobbi St. in Ukiah.
This two hour training covers the “Nuts & Bolts” of foster parenting, including the potential joys of helping children in this way, the roles and responsibilities of foster families and the support that is provided to foster families by Tapestry. The session also provides an in-depth explanation of the laws governing foster parents, foster care agencies and how responsibility is coordinated.
Tapestry Family Services is a small, friendly agency offering lots of personal support to ensure successful experiences with foster children. Like a tapestry, the service threads are linked and related, with the specific pattern of services designed to meet the unique needs of each individual child.
